Designed for Learning, Collaboration and Discovery
The Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 learning spaces at Catherine McAuley have been designed to give students the flexibility to learn in different ways as they move through their primary years.
Each classroom is a dedicated learning space, equipped with two interactive learning boards and connected to its own outdoor classroom. This allows learning to move naturally beyond the four walls of the classroom, with outdoor spaces available for lessons, group work and different learning experiences throughout the day.
Spaces to work together or break away
Dedicated breakout rooms provide additional spaces for students to work individually or in smaller groups, whether they are collaborating on a project, receiving additional support or being extended in their learning.
Bathroom facilities are also attached to each learning block, keeping the spaces practical and connected for students throughout the school day.
A shared space at the heart of learning
At the centre of the The Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 area is a large common learning space, creating another place for students and classes to come together, collaborate and learn beyond their individual classrooms.
This central area is also home to a dedicated STEM classroom, available to students across the school for hands-on learning, investigation, problem-solving and discovery.
Together, the classrooms, breakout rooms, outdoor classrooms, common area and dedicated STEM space create a learning environment that can adapt to different students, different activities and different ways of learning.
